Many sellers will label their green spodumene as "hiddenite". Spodumene with vanadium impurities will lose it's green color over time. Spodumene with chromium impurities (Hiddenite) is colored with chromium and it's color will not fade over time. Spodumene colored with chromium can only be found in Hiddenite, North Carolina.
